Going rogue!

An era ends and a new begins. After 30 years as a graphic designer I have quit my day job and started working for myself. Very exciting and a bit scary, time to spread one's wings and fly.

Oh God, what have I done? I have always hated when famous and successful people advise others to take a chance, if they could do it why not you? What they don’t think about is that for every winner there is a thousand suckers. I would really like to hear from a person that took a chance and failed. There must be tens of thousands of actors and actresses in Hollywood that took a chance but never got a big break. What did they do when they got tired of waiting tables, being broke and living in a stinking apartment with three other losers? And yet here we are. I’m taking a chance and going all in with all my poker chips. In my opinion success has very little to do with talent. You of course need skills but timing, connections, passion, discipline and most important of all, luck, will take you further. Fortunately for me I also have a trump card up my sleeve – All the people that are reading my newsletter and fans of Dragonbane. You will be the arbiter of my fate. So am I a winner or a sucker?
